Building our community through song
We are serious about building community and feel that developing outreach programs is the best way for us to accomplish this objective. We are currently defining programs in two areas: educational outreach and community organization outreach. If you have an organization (educational or otherwise) that you think we should be working with, please contact executive@resoundingachord.org.
The Summer Conducting Lab gives conductors-in-training an opportunity to work with a choir in a rehearsal setting, gaining valuable podium time and real-time feedback. During the 2-hour sessions, 3-5 conductors work with the all-volunteer choir.
Resounding Achord Productions performs with 3-4 choirs from diverse ethnic backgrounds for this event. Each choir will share 10 minutes of music, and all choirs will combine for at least one piece as the concert finale.
Since September 2013, Resounding Achord has assisted high school students who are unable to afford the participation fee for the California Choral Director’s Association (CCDA) Honor Choirs. We recognize, as an organization, how impactful these programs can be for students.
Our IMPACT program allows all students high-school age or younger to attend our RAP Produced concerts for free.
